Cười là mạo hiểm tỏ ra ngu xuẩn. Khóc là mạo hiểm tỏ ra ướt át. Vươn tay ra là mạo hiểm bị liên lụy. Thể hiện cảm xúc là mạo hiểm để lộ con người thực sự của mình. Đặt ý tưởng và giấc mơ ra trước đám đông là mạo hiểm sẽ đánh mất chúng. Yêu là mạo hiểm sẽ không được đáp lại. Hy vọng là mạo hiểm đớn đau. Thử là mạo hiểm thất bại. Nhưng phải chấp nhận rủi ro, bởi mối nguy lớn nhất trong đời là chẳng dám mạo hiểm điều gì.
To laugh is to risk appearing a fool. To weep is to risk appearing sentimental. To reach out to another is to risk involvement. To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self. To place your ideas and dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss. To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure. But risks must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
